Newcomers to the (Ef)Face: Check These Out!

First Look at my Apartment

We'll start things off with my favorite feature of my new apartment: the GALLERY WALL I created.

Who doesn't love my granny-chic floral couch??  +sigh+  J'adore...
Though right now the living room as a whole is mostly "granny-" with less "-chic" than I'd like.  I need to get some pattern-mixing up in here!  I promise more pics when I update.  :)

Now, as promised, here is THE REASON I rented this apartment: MY VIEW.

See that line of trees?  Yeah.  Those trees are growing along a RIVER.

CLOSET.  CLOSET CLOSET CLOSEEEEEEEEEET.  ALL THE CLOSET.

Ahem.

The bedroom is FARRRRR from completed, but I can show you a few tidbits:

"But, Caitlin," you may be saying to your computer screen, "you have, like, NO COLOR in this place."  Well, to that I say, "Check out my entry!"
(I'm still looking for a piece of art or a mirror to hang above the little table/cubby thing.)

Anyway, there's the initial tour of my new apartment.

Remember, I've only been in the place for two and a half weeks and I'm working three jobs, so a girl can only do so much...but I'm pleased with what I've done.  It feels like home.

  6. Oh my goodness, first of all I LOVE your new layout! The header is fantastic (did you draw it yourself?) and I really love how clean and easy everything looks. The apartment is wonderful! I love that you have a nice open space out your patio with a river behind it!! That will make for some fantastic photos I'm sure :) Love all the decorating you've done too. I'm still working on that at our place, haha.

  10. That wall is gorgeous!! My mom is trying to do something similar with a wall in our bonus room for all of my artwork and photography, so I love seeing how you did it. :) Definitely some inspiration! I love how it's not all perfectly matchy matchy.

  18. I love all the little vintage touches. The chairs and tables...it's so eclectic and I love the mis match. I'm trying to talk my husband into letting me decorate our new house like that, but he's not having it. We have very different styles, which kind of sucks. He's very into modern decor, and I like turn of the century or 60s pieces. Even though both of our styles would look out of date in our 1906 house. I should be shopping Victorian! LOL.

Anyway, I love the side table with the fabric tied with a bow. That is such a great idea! I need to remember that! <3
