Three Casual Looks (subtitled: H&M Belt Spectacular!!!)

First of all, I want to say:
for giving me over 50 followers via G.F.C.!!!

I am so excited!  It seems like I started this blog such a short time ago...just last November.  And I hope that my content and blog with only keep growing bigger and better from here.
Thank you so much for caring about this little artistic outlet of mine.  :)  You inspire me!

And now I'll give you what you came here for: some fashion!
And--because I'm so happy--I'm trying something new: giving you three outfits in one post!  Relaxed and casual outfits.

And I didn't even realize until I was captioning these photos that I'm sporting the same belt in all of them!  My beloved H&M belt...it goes with so much and actually fits my waist!  It's long enough to tie in fun knots, too.

I ran to the library and grocery store in this ensemble.
I'm much more of a dress kinda girl.  All the magazines are telling me that pants are the chic thing right now, but I often feel better in a dress.

And dresses don't always have to be "pretty," either (though I do like them that way); pairing my ruffled rainbow-striped dress with cowboy boots and aviators (see below) adds a bit of edge:

Dress: Target || Bag: thrifted || Sunglasses: ? || Belt: H&M || Boots: Forever 21 || Watch: ?
Now here's the same belt again with another dress.
I wear this belt all the time, and the greatest part of it all is that I merely bought it in conjunction with a skirt.  I never knew how much I would use it: I just lucked out that it came with the skirt!  God looks out for me so well.  :)

This was worn to a pool party at my friend's house (on a VERY HOT DAY)..  I adore these shoes!

Shirtdress/Belt: H&M || Scarf: thrifted || Bag: thrifted Louis Vuitton || Watch: ? || Shoes: Calvin Klein from Marshall's || Sunglasses: Marshall's || Earrings: thrifted

I'm so cool, I wear SUNGLASSES INDOORS.

Had a little too much fun with editing these photos...heehee  :)
I blame it on the fact that I was drinking a caffeinated beverage~~~~~which I never do.  So I was kinda bouncing off the walls!

I wanted to do a music festival type of look: comfortable, edgy, sexy.  Rocker-ish.

And what rocker-ish look would be complete without rockstar aviators?  I LOOOOOOVE my aviators!!!  Aviators are always fabulous and will never be an obsolete design!  I've had these for a few years, already, and love them just as much as when I first got them.

I did some fun makeup to accent my rocker-chic outfit: a matte red lip and black eyes.  I even took some brown eyeliner and accented the beauty mark above my lip (I really do have one!  It's just very faint...needs some help to be Monroe-esque.).

Who'd've thunk that grandma's old brooch would accent a rocker outfit?  Happy I can sport it in honor of her, though: RIP grandma.

my 'cowboy' boots = my failsafe footwear item

Need a moment to prop the band on my t-shirt: NEW MEDICINE.  Love their stuff; and they're fairly new to the scene (which means that their merch is really cheap right now, and when my hubby ordered this tee, he got some other free stuff, too).  The shirt has the title of their most successful sing on it, "Race You to the Bottom."  It's technically about alcohol, but in this case, we'll pretend it's talking about my iced coffee.  :)

Need another moment to prop the bands on the buttons I'm wearing, too: ATHEL and ONCE THE SUN.  Saw them last week with my friend, Emilee (photos to come of our AMAAAAAZING ensembles).  Talked to both the bands afterwards, actually (I felt all VIP and stuff).  Once the Sun is a local group (performing at Summerfest for the first time this year).  Lead vocalist is a [rocker] chick; look 'em up if you're into that kinda stuff.  ATHEL has a really unique sound: the singer has a nasally high tenor, but I actually really enjoyed them!  Good stuff.

Tee: New Medicine official merch || Overshirt: American Eagle Outfitters || Shorts: DIY || Boots: Forever21 Sunnies: ? || Jewelry: here&there/thrifted&gifted

Can you get more American?

"Western" may have been last year's fad, but it will ALWAYS be one of mine!

These photos were taken in the dressing room of my local Goodwill, where I found this FABULOUUUUS belt!  I couldn't wait to take photos, 'cuz it was just so exactly what this outfit (and MANY others) needed.
And how about that bomber jacket?  :-)

To be, or not to be S E R I O U S

Today I have made the serious decision to take myself seriously.  Well, if I don't, nobody else will.  I'm through with being bashful about my passions.
I am passionate about style.
I am passionate about art.
I am passionate about theatre.

My Resolutions:
(Yes, I am aware I'm a few days early for New Years resolutions. lol This is a completely separate issue.)

I will no longer shrug my shoulders about this blog and disclaim, "It's no big thing, just a silly little hobby of mine."  I will pose with pride and show off my style and myself.  I will be creative and open myself up to possible ridicule.  I will become involved with theatre again if it kills me.  I will perform.

Of course, even as I type I am already losing faith in myself: putting these thoughts in print makes me wonder if I'm just self-absorbed and vain...I'm no model, I'm not Lady Gaga, nobody knows my name, I'm ignorant and silly...but I have to keep reminding myself that that's not what this is about.  It's about unabashedly being me, liking what I like, and doing what I have been created to do.  I'm a sinner if I don't.

I need to believe that I am enough.

Like my sparkly nails?  What I love about this OPI polish is that it's so saturated with glitter, it takes only two coats to get tips of solid sparkle!  Very festive for New Years, I think.

Sprucing Up an Old Favorite Shirt

Not sure what this is--but it feels good.
A little bit Western, a little bit Cockney, a little bit Menswear, a little bit Rustic...I can't "diagnose" my look today, but isn't that what makes style style? its uniqueness?
I'm working towards the day when I will feel completely un-hypocritical calling myself "stylish."
