I'm missing summer so badly that I've taken to wearing totally non-weather-appropriate outfits...
These shorts are ideal for my tastes. They are long enough to be modest (and cover my hateful upper thighs), but their distressed nature implies "daisy dukes." :) Good stuff.
Here's some selfies taken in the dressing room at Target. I just had to post them, because something about that fitting room mirror makes my legs look ungodly long and trim...
I've experienced that with these mirrors before. Maybe that's why I buy so many clothes there: the mirrors are too friendly. Those sneaky Target marketing people...
Hat/Shorts/Jewelry: thrifted || Tights: Wal-Mart (best tights ever) || Shirt/Bag: Target (sneaky, sneaky Target marketing people) || Shades: ? || Shoes: Cosmopolitain for JCP
Annnnd...for the finish...wait for iiiiiitttttttttt.....................
BAM!
Thigh muscle I didn't even know I still had.
I kinda freaked out when I saw this photo...like, "Where did THAT BULGE come from?" Not sure if I like it aesthetically (I'd rather have fashion-model-thighs than fitness-model-thighs even though my genetics say I never will, so sue me), but it is good to know I could still lift a hefty amount (like a BOSS) even though I've been out of the gym, like, all winter. I guess casual (read: half-assed) pilates and yoga still work a person out enough, huh?
Anyway, enough about my unhealthy habits (unless someone mentions Cheetos or Doritos...then you'll hear a lot more about them...in the form of crunching om-nom-nom-ing sounds).
I just want to let my vintage-loving followers know that
I'll be posting a vintage look in my next post!
As I said, I'm so sick of winter that I just sucked it up wore a light skirt and petticoat the other day, even though it was drizzling and about 40 degrees. So. That outfit will be my next post.
Cool outfit! There's something sort of Diane Keaton-esque about it with the hat and sunglasses...

I miss summer too!! I agree with Emma..very Diane Keaton! Great handbag xo
ReplyDeleteThis is the best tights / shorts look that I've seen .. it looks sexy. Most of the time that I've seen it on girls .. it looks sloppy.
