Newcomers to the (Ef)Face: Check These Out!

Tartan and Rules to Shop By

Doesn't tartan just make you feel warm?? There's just something about it.  It's very bold and strong.  And it never goes out of style.

This "skirt" is actually a new dress I found for a ridiculous deal at my local Marshall's.  It fits like a dream! And it's stretchy and comfortable.  And wearing a furry sweatshirt over it!  It's like heaven.
I have two rules when it comes to buying workwear:
Does it feel like jammies? Yes.
Does it look like jammies? No.
Ok--buy it.

I'm very practical in every aspect of my daily fashion EXCEPT my shoes.  And I like it that way.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll see you again soon!

  2. Turning a dress into a skirt by putting a shirt/sweater/cardigan/blazer/etc over is such a great styling trick. It gives you so much extra millage with your wardrobe. I like slipping shirts under sundresses, too, to help them stand up to wintertime weather, too.

This is such a chic, classic look with a delightful air of French sophistication to it, dear gal.

    1. OMG OMG OMG the Beckermans commented on my blog again! ;) I get starstruck every time!!!!

And yes--I'm excited to style this dress (worn as a skirt) in different ways. For a Christmas party, I put a vintage black blazer over it, but I MUST try punk, too!

The bulkier piece on the top balances out my pear-shaped self. :) That was keen of you to notice!
